Copy of TogetHER’s Partners

TogetHER works with our partners to fund and implement evidence-based programs that reflect our shared vision to end cervical cancer deaths.

No one organization can end cervical cancer as a threat to women everywhere. In joining TogetHER, our partners dedicate themselves to a global movement necessary to accelerate an end to cervical cancer deaths. TogetHER offers partners the opportunity to share and collaborate to make their programs more effective, with the following activities:

  • Monthly calls to share intelligence and ideas, and coordinate messages and activities.
  • Events, online webinars, and social media opportunities where we promote their cervical cancer programs.
  • Communications and advocacy tools that make the case for program support.
  • Participation in TogetHER-coordinated campaigns, sign-on letters, op-eds, conference panels, and outreach to key decisionmakers.
  • Collaborative proposals for advocacy funding.

If you represent a national government, non-governmental organization (NGO), philanthropic foundation, multilateral organization, or private sector entity that can help us take action against cervical cancer globally, we’d love to discuss how we can work together to build TogetHER’s global movement. You can reach us at [email protected].

American Cancer Society (ACS)

In addition to its US-based work, ACS supports programs around the globe, and has been active in almost 40 countries since 2020. They currently co-chair the Cervical Cancer Action for Elimination partnership. More on ACS’ global activities combating cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers can be found here.

Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI)

CHAI, with support from Unitaid, is working to reach more women with effective, scalable cervical cancer prevention tools: HPV testing for screening and portable thermal ablation devices to treat pre-cancerous lesions. CHAI’s market-shaping experience brings innovative products and technologies to market to ensure  a sustainable, affordability, and ample supply of screening and treatment tools as well as HPV tests. CHAI also tests integrated models to reach women living with HIV. More on CHAI’s global cervical cancer prevention activities can be found here.

Grounds for Health

Grounds for Health has worked to prevent cervical cancer in coffee-growing communities in Latin America and Africa since 1996 with simple, cost-effective programs. Grounds for Health trains health educators to teach communities about cervical cancer and the importance of preventive screening, adapting programs to local language and culture. They strengthen local health systems by providing training, equipment, and monitoring support. And by adapting cutting edge technologies and innovations, Grounds for Health ensures high quality of care for their clients. Read more about their impact here.

Jhpiego

Jhpiego is helping countries prevent and eliminate cervical cancer by introducing newer technologies and designing woman-centered, integrated services within the framework of primary health care. Jhpiego provides learning and practice opportunities that health workers need to develop competency to deliver high-quality cervical cancer prevention services, including using HPV testing for screening and thermal ablation for treatment. As a core member of the Scale Up Cervical Cancer Elimination with Secondary prevention Strategy (SUCCESS) project, Jhpiego is implementing screening programs in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guatemala and the Philippines.

PATH

For decades, PATH has been at the forefront of evidence-based cervical cancer strategies from HPV vaccine research and delivery to cervical cancer screening and treatment. PATH coordinates the Single-Dose HPV Vaccine Evaluation Consortium, which gathers and evaluates data from clinical trials, observational studies, and modeling analyses regarding the value of a single-dose HPV vaccination schedule to protect against cervical cancer.

Pathfinder

Pathfinder envisions a world where no women of reproductive age suffer or die from cervical cancer or its complications. Pathfinder's cervical cancer programs have recently focused on integrating prevention strategies with HIV/AIDS treatment and care, maternal health, and sexual and reproductive health programs, and have been active in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, and Mozambique. More on Pathfinder's cervical cancer prevention activities can be found here.

Population Services International (PSI)

Since 2012, PSI has been a leader in global cervical cancer prevention, implementing services and strengthening awareness and policy guidelines across the world. Recently, PSI was a key partner in a project integrating cervical cancer screening and treatment technologies with voluntary family planning programs in Mozambique with funding from the Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) program supported by USAID and the National Academies of Sciences. Currently PSI cervical cancer prevention programs are active in Ethiopia, Benin, Mozambique, Kenya, Mali, and Eswatini.
