Heather White
Executive Director
Dr. Heather White is a global health specialist with twenty years of experience in program design, management, and evaluation across numerous practice areas, including non-communicable diseases, HIV, family planning, and cervical cancer prevention. She has provided hands-on technical support to local teams in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Heather is the Executive Director at TogetHER for Health where she leads the organization in its ongoing mission to end cervical cancer worldwide through effective partnership, advocacy and resource mobilization. Prior to her role at TogetHER, she worked at Population Services International (PSI), where she served as a program manager on the global business development team, and later as PSI’s global technical advisor for cervical cancer, hypertension and diabetes. Heather has experience working with complex international programs that engage multiple partners across civil society, corporate, and government sectors.
Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Heather served in numerous administrative roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, most recently as director of educational programs at UAB’s Sparkman Center for Global Health. Heather served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa, after receiving her Master’s of Public Health degree in International Health and Epidemiology from UAB in 2001. She received her Doctor of Public Health degree from UAB in 2011.

Kathy Vizas
Chief Strategy Officer/Co-Founder
Kathy Vizas co-founded TogetHER with Celina Schocken in 2017. As a Founding Member of the Maverick Collective, Ms. Vizas worked in India to develop a PSI-led cervical cancer screening program. While pleased to be supporting women in India, Ms. Vizas felt frustrated by the extremely low levels of support she saw globally for the fight against cervical cancer and felt motivated to examine the root problems – a lack of funding and knowledge about the disease. And ultimately, TogetHER was born. Prior to her work as an advocate for global health, Ms. Vizas practiced law for more than 20 years in law firms and corporations. She serves on the San Francisco Committee of Human Rights Watch, the Board of the Human Trafficking Legal Center, and the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University. She also recently completed a 6-year term as Board Chair for Spring Impact, Inc., which works to support social sector organizations to scale their impact.

Tom Harmon
External Affairs Director
Tom Harmon provides resource mobilization and public affairs support for TogetHER. His recent work includes the creation of policy research and advocacy content for the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, and strategic support for the Minnesota Brain Aging Research Collaborative. Prior to his work as a consultant, Tom was instrumental in building the evidence base to catalyze political and financial support for HIV vaccine research as a staffer at IAVI. Tom also recently served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota International NGO Network.
